I get pissed off daily by similar episodes. However, do a little research into 'fair' trade. It sounds all fluffy and nice, and in places it is, but it is a form of protectionism and in many cases traps people in poverty. It also removes any incentive to improve the product, and if anyone has tasted 'fair' trade tea they will know what I mean. Like so much,it doesn't do what it says on the tin. JD. Great article. My local fairtrade shop sells the same for £1.99. This is the shop of the fairtrade organisation itself. It must have really low overheads, staffed by volunteers, and no doubt paying no rates.
